Toby and Brandon studied music at Platform One to prepare for working in the music industry. They have played the main stage at Isle of Wight Festival twice together with their own originals band (2021) and supporting a popular singer/songwriter on the island, Beth Brookfield (2022). They both worked closely as a pair throughout their degree and started recording music, which lead to them realising a shared passion for music production and founding Calliope Studios towards the final year of their degree. Ever since then their skills and demand for the studios services grew so they both moved to their new facility in East Cowes, which opened in January 2024.

The history of our building
The history of our building
The building itself is a Victorian Water Tower that was built in 1859 around the same time as Osborne House, which was Queen Victoria's summer home and rural retreat.
Today, the water tank (which sits in the 3rd floor) is no longer in use and is empty. This could potentially be beneficial for the studio in the future as the acoustics inside the tank are something special (even though it looks rather spooky).
